Formerly with the holiday company Direct Greece and named by them Perilia ‘Villas’, this pretty well maintained property, which is situated set back from the main east coast road leading down to Kassiopi, has a ’wow’ factor frequently commented on by arriving guests. With the use of local stone in the terraced gardens and around the pool balconies these semi-detached apartments offer a charming retreat.
With up to just 8 people relaxing on the sunbeds in the grassed garden area at the Perilia Pool, you will soon discover that much of your time swimming and sunbathing is enjoyed totally alone when the second apartments guests are visiting the islands many beauty spots or beaches – the luxury of a villa holiday at affordable apartment prices! In fact many individual villa pools are much smaller! This large size pool measures 11.85x5.60m, with depths from 0.75 cm to 2.60. *Please note there is no ‘children’s pool’ at Perilia and as with similar properties there is no lifeguard.
We know that most of our guests want to eat out while they are on holiday and Kassiopi has a wide selection of restaurants to suit all tastes from traditional tavernas offering fresh fish and local dishes to more cosmopolitan restaurants, snack bars, and even a Chinese and Mexican restaurant. For those who prefer to ‘eat at home’ each apartment has a well equipped kitchen/ sitting area with full cooker, kettle ,fridge, toaster and an iron and ironing board. There is also a TV and DVD/CD player, with a small selection of DVD’s provided
Walk through the kitchen/sitting area onto the shady back balcony, where there is a marble topped table and chairs provided for you to eat outside. From here you will delight at watching passing ferry boats beyond the olive groves, against a backdrop of the mountains in Albania as they slowly change colour in the glow of the evening sun. Each apartment has a smaller front balcony which catches the daytime sun, the back balcony catching the refreshing breezes from the sea.
Perilia offers two twin bedrooms in each apartment. Each bedroom is individually decorated and is furnished with two single beds, with well sprung mattresses to ensure a good nights sleep, matching wood bedside tables and drawers and double wardrobe. A hairdryer and a small selection of books are also provided
A single, larger than standard, Air Conditioning Unit has been installed in the hallway which can be used to cool one or all rooms as required and is available for hire per night – an essential to your comfort for those weeks in the peak of the hot summer when temperatures can remain high, even at night!
Each room has its own glass-paned double balcony doors with the traditional Mediterranean shutters which are designed to allow fresh air to flow through the vents from the balconies into the apartment
The shower rooms have either shower or half bath with shower, with shower curtains. Each villa has a plentiful supply of constant hot water from a central storage boiler used throughout the property and the traditional boiler system seen here has now been removed.
There is an on site car parking area at Perilia for those wishing to hire transport, although it is not unusual for guests to leave their car behind in order to enjoy their evening stroll. Alternatively, taxis are generally available from the village square at a reasonable rate per short trip back up to Perilia.
Perilia is a family run business and you are bound to see the English owner Julia and her children maintaining the property. Julia lives unobtrusively in a 3rd apartment, adjoined at a lower level and to the side of the guest villas, and is at hand to ensure that your holiday runs smoothly and to help you in anyway she can both before and during your stay.
